Take a stroll in the gardens of France
Whether you’re a green-fingered garden-lover or just like taking a stroll amongst the flowers, you will enjoy visiting the 400 or so green spaces that are now open to the public via Géoportail.
In Géoportail’s 2D viewing interface, select the "Expert" profile Expert, ouvrez le thème Sites Protégés open the Conservation Sites section and click on the CJP Parks and Gardens layer..
At a scale of 1:200 000, the French Gardens and Landscapes Association icons (Conservatoire des Jardins et Paysages) are displayed. Choose a garden and its page will open, including a link to the garden’s website, if it has one.
The gardens were chosen by the French Gardens and Landscapes Association (Conservatoire des Jardins et paysages). This association brings together landscape gardeners, botanists, horticulturists, architects and historians. All are fascinated by the art of creating gardens, with roots stretching far back into history. They are all dedicated to sharing their enthusiasm with the general public.
